Projection of films related to Vu d'ici et Douleur exquise
Very Nice Very Nice by Arthur Lipsett (7 min);
Ceci est un message enregistré by Jean Bédard (10 min);
Manufactured Landscapes by Jennifer Baichwal (86 min).
Three films tell in their own way the process that led to the creation
of Vu d’ici by Mathieu Arsenault, directed by Christian Lapointe. They
echo a writing approach where clippings from newspapers and the
rhythmic onslaught of the media play a large role (Lipsett, Bédard).
They also note a disintegration of the environment on a global scale
that threatens the balance of all living things (Baichwal).

No Sex Last Night by Sophie Calle and Greg Shephard (1996, 80 min)
A film-diary on drifting through American society, misunderstandings and emotional dead ends. This is one of the rare contemporary examples of co-authored cinematographic writing in the form of autofiction. Taking turns, the film makers, lovers or broken up, reveal on camera their misunderstandings and their emotions.
